The March Chamber Member Spotlight is The Milk Pail.
Owner, Alyssa Madlon grew up in Weyerhaeuser and graduated from Chetek-Weyerhaeuser High School in 2016. She and her husband Kyle, a software engineer, have 2 children ages 2 and 7.
Alyssa was working nights at Marshfield in the ER, and her husband Kyle was deployed with the Army National Guard in 2020. Kyle returned home in September and in November of that same year, Alyssa was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She went through aggressive chemo treatment and is now in remission. After going through this, she realized she wanted something bigger with her life and at only 26 years old, working with the SBDC and Dave Armstrong, Alyssa purchased The Milk Pail.
Alyssa was fortunate to work and train alongside the previous owner, Stephanie. Currently The Milk Pail provides a menu of soups, salads, and sandwiches for lunch, ice cream, sells meats and cheeses and more! She also started offering to host parties for only $100 for 3 hours, which provides the location and ice cream. What a fun place for kids to have their birthday party!
Alyssa loves to bake, and her goal is to eventually provide bakery items. She currently sells the most amazing chocolate chip cookies, which is a “secret family recipe”. Alyssa will also take orders for cakes, cupcakes, cookies and she loves to make cake pops! She showed me the coolest cake pop cake she is making for a wedding. Her next goal is to learn to make sourdough bread.
The Milk Pail is definitely a one-of-a-kind place!! You can check them out on their website https://www.themilkpail.net/, Facebook, or Tik Tok. Alyssa turns “27” this month, so let’s all wish her a Happy Birthday! Congratulations to this young entrepreneur for making her dream come true!
