I, along with Chamber Ambassador, Anne Gallagher presented 3 Customer Service Awards at the Elk’s 100th Anniversary celebration. Here is what their nominators had to say.
The first customer service award went to Jeffery Miller.
Jeff provides over the top Customer Service in the many roles he portrays at the Rice Lake Elks Lodge. From returning phone calls with ease and providing important information on the Services available at the Elks or to how we as a community can work together to make life easier to those who need assistance. Jeff serves as the host most Friday nights in seating members and guests who wish to dine in the clubroom. Jeff will, if possible, find a table with a smile-even if he needs to assist staff in cleaning or setting up the table…he considers nothing above his pay grade. Jeff practices Elkdom in his walk of life-leading the charge for multiple charity initiatives -veteran projects, special Olympics, food pantry, respite camp. student events and the list is endless demonstrating Customer Service as these programs take place. Jeff, on behalf of the Rice Lake Chamber Ambassadors please accept this Customer Service Award as part of the 100-year celebration of the Rice Lake Elks Lodge #1441.
The next customer service award was presented to Marla Gygli.
Marla Gygli practices ongoing positive customer service as she applies for and creates the teams to bring grants and awards that make the Rice Lake Community a better place to work and live, often spending infinite hours personally to assure the events occur always with a smile. Members and guest contributions give the local Elks the eligibility to apply for grants and awards-and in the past year $12,000 has been distributed to the local community to the following groups and projects: Benjamin’s House Emergency Shelter, Natures Edge, Special Olympics Barron County, We Share Food Pantry, Lunch Bunch Program, Veterans Programs, and the local Elks Dictionary Program. Multiple fundraisers such as breakfasts, special dinners or concession stands are also coordinated by Marla all with the customer in mind. Marla also finds time to work with customers on a one-to-one basis as she volunteers in the local clubroom as a bartender and fills in as the ‘Chef”. She is often requested as staff for a special event. On behalf of the Chamber Ambassadors please accept this Customer Service Award for outstanding Customer Service you provide not only in the 100 celebration but ongoing….
The last customer service award was presented to Sonya “Sunni” Bliese.
Sunni is receiving this award because of her ability to work well with staff, volunteers, and customers with a smile on her face. She coordinates staff schedules and often performs the duties of the bartender or waitstaff if none are available, never demonstrating stress or saying No. She has used her career skills to implement best business practices always keeping the customer in mind.
She works well with all customers both young and old and has a great eye for the aesthetics of creating customer appeal. She has also restructured the applications for positions at the Elks stressing the importance of outstanding Customer Service to be considered an employee. Sunni is a relatively new member at the Elks, however she volunteered for several years before she became a member demonstrating exceptional customer service traits. Sonya please accept this Customer Service Award from the Rice Lake Chamber Ambassadors not only as you are celebrating your Lodges 100th anniversary but for your ongoing customer service.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!
