The Rice Lake Chamber April Member of the Month is Our House Senior Living and Memory Care. They have served Rice Lake for over 20 years!

I recently sat down with Regional Director of Operations, Lauren Metheny, who has been with Our House for 7 years, and Executive Director, Brynn Hojem who has been there for 4 years. Our House has a total of thirty-one facilities in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
The Our House Senior Living building has nineteen units, and the Memory Care building has twenty-four units. They have a total staff of twenty-five between the two buildings with an average longevity of 4-11 years. Employees do not have to have a CNA license as Our House does their own in-house training. They hire anyone age 16+ and all of the staff share duties. They also offer an employee referral bonus and a resident referral bonus.

All of the rooms are private with a community kitchen and dining area. Our House is more of a care facility, and they share a Clinical Staff that service all locations. They will also do emergency admissions if needed and provide short-term care.
Our House has a lot to offer its residents. It has an in-house beauty salon and they provide laundry service to all residents. Lauren and Brynn, both said it is like a small family community and they love to offer events and get community involvement for resident interaction. Some of those include sending valentines for residents, holding an Easter egg hunt and they will be hosting “Prom” on April 25th from 4:30-7:00pm with a DJ. They also offer between 5 and 6 activities per day that residents can participate in and use the local bus garage to go somewhere for one outside activity per month.
